The concept of the cosmos has become one large potential in the eyes of the artists who wish to capture its mysterious and enigmatic beauty. Always looming above our heads, with countless phenomena unseen by human eyes just waiting to be discovered. As artists, we are only limited by our imaginations of what the rest of the universe could portray beyond our sight. Serenity, created by *Reiku-Rilona, joins the ever extending list of such results of creative imaginations. Despite some flaws with execution, this still comes off as a rather captivating piece.

To begin with, I do admire the amount of detail placed into the piece. The nebula clouds in the background look really good and the shades of green look nice over the planets as well. However, the picture looks good up until you give it a complete full screen. At its full resolution, the image shows quite a bit of pixelation in the nebula clouds, almost as if they were stretched to fit the increased size. It may seem like a nitpick, it really distracts from the overall beauty of the piece. Even the planet has a slightly jagged edge along its eastern hemisphere, but that can be fixed with some minor blurring. If the picture were shrunken down, it should make the overall piece look much better than it already is.

Flaws aside, the piece still has many redeeming qualities. The vibrant green still looks great without being overbearing or excessive, the nebula clouds, asteroid belt and stars all look great under the green glow. Still a good looking piece, just needs some fine tuning. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt=":D" title=":D (Big Grin)"/>
